Procurement of Low-sulphur Fuel Oil M100

1.The Republic of Tajikistan has received a grant from the International Development Association to the cost of electricity and gas components of the Emergency Energy Recovery Assistance Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Low-sulphur Fuel Oil M100.
2.The Open Stock Holding Power Company "Barki Tojik"now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply of 5000 ton of Low-sulphurFuel Oil M100. Fuel Oil shall be delivered within 6-8 weeks after the contract signing date.
3.Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5. Qualifications requirements include:
Minimum Annual Turnover of US $ 2,000,000.
Two similar contracts executed within the last 5 years
A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2 % of bid price or in an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
On August 24, 2010 the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Davlatali Saidov had a meeting with the UN Development Programme Country Director, Mr. Rastislav Vrbensky and UNDP Consultant, Ms. Doreen Wilson. In the meeting issues of support and assistance provided by the UN Development Programme to the government sector were discussed.
Inception workshop on the project “Support to Effective National Aid Coordination and Investment Promotion” was held in UNDP on the April, 16th 2010. It was organized by the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management (SCISPM), Donor Coordination Council (DCC) and UNDP.
